Welcome to Peniel Praise and Worship Music. Peniel means "I have seen the face of God" (specifically Elohim - the Hebrew name given in the scriptures to identify the creator of all things). It is the name the patriarch, Jacob (Ya'akov), gave to the location where he wrestled with "a man," yet one who is clearly not just a man since he has the authority to change Jacob's name to Israel (Genesis 32). Now, some three millennia later, with the understanding that we are free to confidently approach His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:14-16), we are learning to enter into deep intimacy with God by tenderly seeking His face.
We are excited to be living in this time of world history. Biblically speaking, Jesus is manifested through His church as members assemble and worship. The music we use, therefore, is crucial to enabling real worship (intimacy with God) to happen. These are big days of redemption and we are seeing events before our eyes that the prophets and apostles wished to see and did not. With the present apostasy, the delusions of our society, and the globalism before us, we believe that it is more important than ever to consistently minister to the Lord in worship and realize His renewing life in us in the process.
